My name is Natural Essense and I am the founder and owner of Natural Born Talent Collective. I am a wife and mother of 4, Reiki Master, Certified Herbalist, Plant Medicine Advocate, MBA, Creative and Personal Chef. I was born to immigrant parents from Guyana, South America who raised me and my two sisters in Brooklyn, New York.
My hardworking parents, while having their own struggles, afforded me many opportunities throughout my life that I am forever grateful for. One of those opportunities was the ability to do a little bit of travel that deeply impacted how I view the world, how I defined and redefined what it means to be black and the power of authentic connection.
After being laid off in 2018, I decided it was time for me to follow my heart and begin to use my natural born talents to build a legacy. I have a big vision for the collective and have learned a lot as we continue to build. It is my aim that Natural Born Talent provide an experience for our clients that is transformative in some way, truly celebrates the Black and Indigenous experience and contributes towards bettering our world.

It has been my joy and passion to use and share simple holistic healing practices and herbal remedies for myself, my family, and my community for almost 20 years.
Now I want to share them with you.
Natural Born Talent is currently offering Reiki and a Natal Chart wellness plan called Soul Sessions with Essense.
Reiki is an ancient non-invasive healing practice/technique/skill that uses gentle touch or hand movements to promote relaxation and to reduce stress and anxiety.
Most, if not all, Reiki practitioners are trained to practice Reiki on themselves first. Because of this we are able to clear our own personal energy and selflessly provide our clients with a space to fully immerse themselves in relaxation and release.
I have been practicing Reiki since 2018 and became a Certified Usui Reiki Master in 2020.

What is a Soul Session?
A Soul Session includes:
5-10 minute introduction and Reiki session prep
1 hour Reiki session
20-30 minute wellness plan consultation (*This can be scheduled at the end of your Reiki session or at another time depending on how you feel)
During your Reiki session, I will guide you to relax and take the time to breathe or just be. We will then work together to discuss the energy blocks that you have so that you can feel more balanced. We will also put together a plan for you on how to incorporate simple holistic practices to help you stay balanced on a daily basis based on your unique make up.

Scheduling A Session
Your natal chart or birth chart can provide insight into your journey in this lifetime and help you to understand yourself better. Although not required, it would be perfect if you can provide the DATE and TIME of your birth so we can create a truly unique plan for you based on YOU.

What Soul Sessions look like...
During your Soul Session with Essense, I will help you establish your own unique plan with simple holistic healing practices based on your natal chart. Not to mention a Reiki session to help you release tension, anxiety and stress.
All sessions are done virtually so it doesn’t matter where you are in the world we can work together to get you to feel and be more balanced.
What can you expect in your Soul Session?
Deep breathing exercises
Short meditation
Setting intentions together
Going over your feelings before and after the session
Unique planning of how you can continue to grow and heal
As a Reiki master, I can guide you on how to release energy blocks so that you can be the healthiest you not only physically, but also mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Your Soul Session Experience
I use Reiki as the primary means of shifting your energy so that you feel more relaxed and balanced. By its nature, Reiki focuses on the individual’s unique and specific needs. How you feel before, during, and after the session will be different for everyone.
But generally, you will feel relaxed and calm afterward. I highly recommend you drink a lot of water after our session and do what you can to get lots of rest. I’ll explain more during your session.
Essentially, in your Soul Sessions with Essense, I will work with you in crafting a UNIQUE plan of simple holistic activities and practices that you can incorporate into your daily life so that you can be more aware of energy blocks and create balance for yourself: mind, body, and soul.
Rei translates to "Universal".
Ki/Qi/Chi translates to "Life Force/Energy".
Reiki is an ancient (current Western practice originated in Japan: Usui Reiki) non-invasive healing practice/technique/skill where the Reiki practitioner uses that energy to assist in balancing their client. There are many Reiki techniques & each practitioner may choose to use what suits them and their client best. Most practitioners use hand gestures that we are taught and visualization techniques to be effective in helping their clients.
Reiki enables you to achieve relaxation by assisting the body’s energy to unblock or release anything that hinders your balance.
When this non-invasive healing is practiced regularly, Reiki develops your mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness.

A natal chart shows the exact placement of the sun, moon, and planets at the time of your birth. It provides a roadmap to help you navigate the many layers of yourself and your relationship to others and the universe.
The natal chart is one tool that is often used to help you gain another perspective or insight into yourself. It is something that I personally use and have seen be very helpful to many. Your natal chart or birth chart can provide insight into your journey in this lifetime and help you to understand yourself better.
